I was never DPS chaser my ships can only make between 100k -250k DPS but I am looking recently to up on that a bit, at least to 500k and I wud be happy. I have yet to open 4 infinity and 2 promo boxes, bcz I am not getting ship just for consoles but for full enjoyment. have a good one Spencer

Thank you very much! This is very helpful. Especially since I am using a con troller on PC. With the default method of binding keys controllers are very limited in what can be done, but this software makes it p[ossible to do a lot more with a controller. It even lets you bind two keys that are not normally bindable (Back/Select and Start).

Most generally used one of the toggle ones before, I think "toggle, never cancels" was one of the more popular.

I have energy weapons sent to auto fire, but I keep my torps on manual. I have HY/TS set to E and fire torps set to Q.

This is so much easier than in the "olden" days where you manually had to create the text file. I remember getting so frustrated that I just scrapped my keybinds altogether. I'm going to have to give them another look, because I've found myself having to take my eyes off combat to go click a small square. A lot of the times I lose track of the cursor. @Spencer, are there any external controllers that work with STO to control things like the throttle? A friend who does a lot of flight sims asked if I had a throttle control for flying, like he does. Granted, I fly a Galaxy-class and he flys a Cessna.

there is throttle control in the key bind program that he is reviewing in the video, the default in sto is R button that will go FUll power to engines and also stop all engines, the you also have Q abd E, Q will slow you down by a 1/4 and you will have to hit key again to slow further and E increases the speed by a 1/4. Most people set up their mouse scroll button to control the in game throttle which can also be set up through this key bind program. Again if you have a gaming mouse like from steelseries or Razer you can set all this up that way too ussing the macro programs provided from those companies

Would you recommend putting the all your healing abilities on a keybind or would you keep them separate?

i would made an "Oh Shit" Key Bind with some healing abilities and/or escape abilities... since Spencer only sees the game through DPS (these days at least :P) I would definitely make a Heal key bind, I use C button for heals or for my Cooldowns, skills that activate cooldown traits, stuff like that, remember you can also use CTRL+Spacebar, so the way i have mine set up is I use spacebar to spam buffs, Shift+Spacebar to fire my ALPHA attack to fire all energy like beams or cannons weapons, Ctrl+space bar to fire my Beta Attack so this way i am always spamming my space bar and like spencer said i keep some major stuff on my tray to press manually, the difference here is spencer usees F&G keys where i use ctrl+spacebar and C keys.. minor difference, just a preference :)

no once you press copy the bind is permanently in the game, to remove the bind type this command in chat bar: /unbind_all

Awesome maybe I'll actually play the PC version more. I've had my account is Delta rising but pretty much stopped once it came to console. I will say that I do login everyday and do whatever event there is I haven't missed one yet. Still have the event campaign reward boxes waiting as well lol

you can also use MACRO on a gaming mouse and/or a gaming keyboard so if you only have 1 hand then you can still use a system like this, gaming mouse has 15 buttons, 12 on side and 3 on top and the macro program is easy to use, plenty of youtube videos to help ya, or you can set your entire game up to fly and play with your left hand using the keyboard and just fly and turn you ship with your mouse

LOL no wonder you guys die to FBP so much. You can't stop shooting even if you wanted to. I use auto fire with spacebar held. I can stop firing instantly buy clicking off a target.
