there are two other "tweaks" on the shortcuts: Open Spotlight: command + esc Open Finder: command + ' Quite useful to make these changes, as command + spacebar is more useful to use with other apps, so you can summon spotlight upon whatever you are doing or having open.

Great content! Just got my macbook pro 16 with m3 max. From windows user. When I downloaded VS code it's not showing on my apps I only see it on the downloads folder. I uninstalled it and installed again like 3 times bit don't show up on programs. You know why that is?.I went though alot of windows laptops last year trying to find the right one. Think this Mac will be the one . I only got it with 2 tb because Apple be taxing. Got me a 4tb external ssd drive too. With 64 gigs of ram wanted to go higher but was already a 5000 dollar laptop as it is. Did you get apple care when you got your macbook pro? If you can get back at me I would greatly appreciate it.

awesome content Chris this was really helpful info! I have a quick question about the battery life. I just upgraded from my 2016 MacBook to an M2 MacBook Air so it was strange for me when my laptop recommended me to have the computer attached to the AC so as to not use the battery. Would you recommend I have my MacBook always on the AC when I am at home to preserve the battery for longer? I am not very tech savvy so not even sure if I have the right idea lol thank you!

I always go to Accessibilities and turn on three-finger drag. Much easier to drag. It does, however relegate Mission Control to four-finger swipe up.

I'm a data engineer, and i use mac os as my daily driver, but also the ubuntu distro kde neon and windows 11 as well, i like to have different options. However, when i just want to get things done, i usually opt for my macbook, therefor having it setup in the best way is important for me.

If youre gonna be working mostly on the go with no external displays etc I'd say the Air is sufficient. If you want a productivity tank that can use multiple external displays etc I would go with the 14" or 16" Pro with the m2 pro chip.
