Great video. Question, how are you going to power the device when installed. I assume you supply 5V to the wires you soldered. Where does 5V come from?

It does come from the USB

Good video thanks I only have a few devices so HA is overkill for me so can I use Tasmotta on each device on my phone or is there a way to add my 5 devices to one page? thanks bob for any suggestions love the channel

Hi, what are you expecting the nodeMCU to do by default? They don’t do anything without some sort of program loaded, or arduino sketch putting on there
