If scan to (Google) email suddenly stops working THIS is your video. Followed these steps for our office's Sharp MX-3070 and it worked like a champ. NOTE: You must set up 2-step authentication in order to see the APP PASSWORDS (inside your Google account) option he shows at 3:41 in this video. Hi, this is the same printer I have and the only problem is that the new email I created shows up as the sender email. I send important scans to my insurance company, or bank, etc and I'd prefer it show up from my original email that they are used to seeing. Were you able to figure out how to make our original email show up as the sender and not the new one we just created? Thanks much.

Worked great for a Toshiba Copier also. I had to use Port Number 465.

Hello, thank you for a newer solution to this problem. I do have a question, when I send scans to emails, now it shows up with the new email address instead of my original. Sometimes I send documents to my insurance company, bank, etc. I'd like it to show my actual email address. In my printer settings, I don't have the option to say what the sender email is (which I prefer my original and not the newly created one). Any solution to that please? Thanks again.

I'm still having trouble with the SMTP server test. ERROR[3332]: Connection to SMTP server test failed. I have a feeling it might be the DNS settings. What are they supposed to be?

open a command prompt and type ipconfig/all and hit enter. it will display your DNS settings. In common network setups it's usually the same IP as the gateway. You can also use 8.8.8.8

I've tried this multiple times today and I am keep getting connection failed messages. I have confirmed the Dns settings, made sure to create the app passwords and enter them into the smtp settings along with the correct server and port settings, but just gives me connection failed. Any ideas?

Did you confirm the IP gateway is correct?
