How to setup the Godox Collapsible Octagon Softbox (SB-GUE-95)

In the initial setup, the rods need to be pushed through 2 holes: the silver one and the white Velcro hole. I don’t know why, but no one mentions this.

@@HellguzHellishwinters Keep the base of the mount between your feet and insert one and one rod. Flex the rods to get them low enough to prevent the other ones of popping out.

For anyone else that needs to hear this: trying to push in the rods with them standing up was making me scream obscenities in Greek. Instead I just made it lie down on the floor so they weren’t dangling around. Took me five minutes after that.

What about attaching the lighting systems that you can use. Is it only for speed light use???

It features a Bowens mount so mounts directly to Bowens mount lights. You can also use the Godox S mount or S2 bracket if you intend on using speedlites

Make sure to put the black washer underneath the knob (opposite the side of the screw)... when fully tightened, the washer will stop the bowens mount from spinning, took me a couple trys

Collapsing the softbox doesn't work if you want to put it back in the Godox bag it comes with. This product just arrived today and I spent over an hour trying to get this set up right, I honestly think I regret buying it now. I don't have time to do all this work while I'm on shoots. Let this be a fair warning to anyone who is on the fence about buying this product.

It can if you're careful but it's not advised, it's fabric after all and is susceptible to wear and tear.
