How To Setup the IAI RCP6 RRA Pulse Press

Hello everyone, I'm Tom Trinh, senior application engineer for Valin Corporation. Today I will illustrate how to set up an IAI RCP6-RRA pulse press.
So what you see in front of you here is the IAI RCP6-RRA pulse press, and there's a cable from the pulse press itself connected to the PCON controller. This is the black cable here. And then you need to supply a 24 Volt power supply to the PCON controller and there's a IO cable. This is where you connect your START and also couple your START inputs and couple inputs to select the position. And I have a USB to programming port here that I'm connecting to and the other side of the USB port connect to my USB of my laptop.
So what you see in front of you here is an IAI IA-OS software. And this is where you program your position, how much the press force that you want to have. So what I have here is the point #0. I have the I'm going to start pushing at zero and with the velocity of 30mm per second acceleration at .1 with the deceleration the same .1 millimeter per second square with the pressing force 4%. And that equates to 20 Newton. So when you double click on that, it shows you how much the Newton here, all right.
And the threshold is the same 4%, which is 20 Newton's. And the range I want to force press is 100mm. So anytime when I press it, it reaches the load side reaches 20 Newton, it will stop. OK, so I'm going to start pushing it now. I'm going to select this and watch this position you're going to go. When I start moving it, it will go to zero. When it reach the press Newton's, it will stop and turn on that that output. OK, here we go. So now it's turning off. I'm going to put my hand here. So now it reaches the force and now it turns on. I'm going to let it go, turn it back off. See now I will select it here to tell it to go to 0. OK, let's say I want to do it again. I have another product. I'm going to press it again, see how this goes off, and put my hand in front of it and it reaches the force.
Now I'm going to let it go. All right. Now I'm going to tell it to go to 0 so I can start another product. OK, so that's how it works.
Now, This pulse press comes with three. This is basically what I show you how it was, but this comes with three different models. One of them is you can press from 60 to 200 Newtons and there's a there's one from 200 Newton to 600 Newton, sorry, from 60 Newtons to 600 Newtons and there's one from 60 Newtons to 2000 Newtons.
So that's how the IAI RCP6-RRA offer and you can see it's very simple to program it and it comes with a load cell as well.
So actually this can also do the pushing or pressing down or it can do the pulling as well. OK. And the reason you're able to do that because the load cell at the end of the actuary of the press itself.
