For me the chime box was already in place, and the box that came with the doorbell actaull did not work with my setup. So I ended up not using it.

No chime box help videos! I had room in my existing chime box but the chime broke so I bought a new one and there is no room in the box for the co roller so I can't put the cover on the chime box. Any helpful suggestiins? Thank you!

Does this work if you have multiple doorbells that ring a single chime in the house?

It should as long as the second doorbell is wired to the same box.

I was seeking pre-help on wiring to existing chimes. This video skimmed over that very briefly to the point of usless. "We'll get back to that" , lasted maybe 1.2sec.

This was a setup video less of an installation video if you already have pre-existing wiring because it's for voltage you just have to connect the two wires to the doorbell

Thanks, I have done all that. It rings inside etc. I can see the camera on the app. But I expected a chime on my phone app, so I could respond to a visitor. But it seems to only have the standard alert sounds. Which go off with trees, shade pets, etc. so it's useless to tell is a person is pressing the button. What am I doing wrong?

Sadly the notification you for movement and a button press are the same. The only way you would know the difference is looking at your notification to see which one it was that sent it to your phone.

I just got mine yesterday and for the life of me I cannot get the bottom of the doorbell to fit into the bottom slots of the plate. The top part goes in easy but I can't get the bottom to slide in. The wiring is out of the way.

Can you shove the wiring back in the wall where it was originally? If not you may need to use the wedge plate. Thats what I ended up doing.

Something like that you would want to get an electricen for as even though it is low voltage you still need to run power to a transformer and run that to the door and the chime box.

Been using Wyze cams since 2017/8 and was just about to purchase this doorbell. Glad I found your video, I didn't realise I needed a pre-existing doorbell/electrical. Le sigh... 🫤 That aside, you've put together an excellent video - totally clear, concise and easy to follow and understand. I'll be sure to give it a thumb up 👍

If you want to stay in the Wyze ecosystem but don't have wiring the Wyze doorbell pro might be what you are looking for.
