I'd really love to see how you keep everything organized. I know we see a peek of it, but man do I need to see it all!

love your videos! I wish you would make more, its so hard to find good tutorials for dance costumes :( I find myself rewatching the same few YTers who have made them

I love all your videos!! I just bought a sewing machine for christmas and can't wait to start making costumes for circus!! Question... I know you finish a lot of your seams with a serger. But would the zig zag stick you did first work well enough? Or is there a second step you recommend for those of us who don't have a serger yet?
@scarletandstitch4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Zig zag will hold fine it just won't be as durable/hold up as well over time. When I was starting out I made myself lots of costumes without a serger! Goodluck on your new sewing adventure 😊

How long did this take you to make?

Who much would you charge to make in black lycra. It looks awesome.

Did you adjust sizing since you lined it? Or does it not affect stretch that much?

Can I ask why you use both zigzag & serged seams? I've used only serged seams (short stitch) for a long time without any problems in wear.

I also often only use my serger, but sometimes I like to use a zig zag first incase I make any mistakes. It's a lot easier to seam rip a zig zag than a serged seam haha. If I do use both a zig zag and a serger I use a 3 thread overlock to keep the seam from being too bulky, but when I do just use a serger I'll use a 4 thread overlock stitch instead.

What fabric do you use as lining?
