The best part of your video is clear verbal instructions along the whole way. I find videos that just show the actions with no words a waste of time to watch because it’s so unclear to beginners. So thank you very much.

THANK YOU for giving the detentions at the beginning of the video. And for getting right into the subject. Don't enjoy having to stop the video to count the grid to get the measurements. Or having to wade through 5 minutes of the weather or each piece of Aunt Martha's fabric stash. that we are looking at. Great presentation. Easy and clear. Don't get me wrong, I understand nostalgia. My mom left me all kinds of supplies. But, well, I am sure I am not the only person who watches videos to learn something new. :)

I love revisiting your older videos. It reminds me of projects that I have completely forgotten about. I may have said it before but 11 years ago when I wanted to learn to sew, you were my favorite KZbinr I watched to help me learn. I was wanting to give my daughter everything I made for my 1st grand baby everything I made myself. She now has 4 babies with the youngest 2 yrs old. I have sewn for all the grand babies every since. I now have 8 grand babes with the youngest ay 8 months. I love sewing for all of them.

Not only are your projects cute, beautiful, and parctical; and not only are your tutorials clear and concise; you know the proper use of "to lie." "The fabric 'lies' flat." "Keep the fabric 'lying' flat." Music to this English teacher's ears. Brava!!

These are fabulous for so many things... Vanessa, you are one of the best teachers I have seen. You show every little detail, but you continue to flow with a nice peppy voice so it makes you want to just sew, sew, sew. Plan to buy into the organizer class right after spring break and can’t wait.... Thank you for all you do. I sew with my granddaughter and she sells her projects to give money to a Xmas project that gives a huge party to underprivileged children. These will be wonderful for her to make.

I'm returning to sewing after a break of several years. I used to make a lot of zipper pouches and ALWAYS had trouble with any zipper at the top of the pouch. Now I'm slowly reteaching myself these skills, but was apprehensive about that zipper. Your tutorial here MAKES SENSE and makes it look super easy! Nothing I've come across online is anywhere near as clear about how to handle the ends of the zipper. THANK YOU!

Hi there. I made this originally using your measurements, & then used old pair of jeans and made it larger (14 x 11) to carry an iPad. I used the adhesive 1/4 inch foam to stabilize it. I am a visual learner and this has made your tutorials so successful and has helped me to understand each step of the way. I love them and have referred my sewing friends to them.
