Thanks for this video,pls my question is if I don't want to use button on the back pattern I want my zipper to go up to the top am I to cut the band on fold like the front pattern too or I will also cut the back band into two also then join to the side on front pattern for a single band??

Your back band will still be splited into two, but there will be no overlap extension for button, instead you will have little allowance for the zipper.

When skirt is short, like way above the knee, slit is not necessary or if it's a flared or gathered skirt, otherwise, you may not be able to avoid slit.
