It’s just from my local little fabric store but I believe you can buy it it’s called space dye 😊

Yes you can use a sewing machine. She's using a sewing machine. It's easy. Try it out

You can always just use your regular machine with a zig zag stitch 😃

Sewing machines have a guide to make sure you’re feeding the fabric through straight. So long as you go slowly and pay attention to that straight edge it should be fine
