I have made my first one. I added a tab and lobster claw for keys or perhaps a strap, and I lined it with RFID fabric for credit card theft protection. It is a very light layer and makes no difference in bulk or thickness of the wallet. Thank you for your clear instructions.

Love this pattern. I made it with Harris wool and it was a real challenge due to the thickness but I managed. Will do these again! Thank you Debbie!

Thank you so much Debbie for the tutorials. Love following you and you are such an inspiration. I will definitely have a go at this wallet. I am so busy making bags for Christmas. I am following your example and using drawstring bags instead of paper. The overall look is so much nicer than wrapped in the Christmas paper. Better for the environment too. Lots of work but worth it.

Hi Debbie and everyone. If you leave a wider opening for turning and finish the edges without sewing the opening closed you could have a secret pocket for keeping things like your passport and boarding pass, etc. or whatever you want to take, but, keep a little more secret and secure.

Great wallet. Thank you. I sometimes have a longer zipper than needed. Leave the pull tab outside of the item, then cut after it’s on. I like the glue idea….does it gum up your needle?
@cheshkat63213 жыл бұрын
I plan to make the bowling ball bag as a Christmas gift. Now I can include a matching wallet. It's very interesting that the friend I will be making this for, told me yesterday how disappointed she was because her favorite thrift store didn't have a bag she could buy the other day. She said the prices were as high as brand new bags. I didn't tell her that I already planned a new purse for her. The only reason I had not started yet is because I know she buys a new purse at least once a month. So I hesitated making her something she might only use a few weeks. I will make a few changes, so she can wash it to keep using for a longer time without having to iron it. Having a matching wallet will make it perfect, even if she does buy another purse before receiving this.

I think that would be too bulky, maybe a firm stabiliser like Decovil would work..

I’ve seen other wallet videos where the card slots are stitched at the top folds. Is this done to stiffen the slots. You just folded, ironed and stitched them in the middle and on the sides. What is correct method?
