I see another view- add a hem band long enough to tie in front on the bodice... add a waist band to the skirt, without having to make any alterations- love it!

I wanted to do a bit of woman to woman support and bought the Vivi. I'm making it at the moment and enjoying your hand holding sewalong, as it saves me from reading the instructions. I've just got the collar on, even copied you with catching a bit of fabric. It takes me an age to sew a garment, which I don't mind at all, especially when it is such an enjoyable process, as your design is. I hope my effort looks as good as your finished result, so far it's looking good and I'm keeping fingers crossed I don't mess up. Definitely want to make the blouse as the sleeves look gorgeous. Your scotch tape on the buttons is brilliant! Here’s a tip, sew the long side of the collar, trim and understitch then when you sew the short sides they lay really flat. Also after you sew the collar onto the dress trim the edge and under stitch before sewing up the center edge of facing to dress. Hope that makes sense

The amount of swearing I do while constructing garments is all related to sticking myself with pins 😂 No matter how careful i am there is always one (or several) that are out to get me. You’re back! Great dress! Looks like the sleeve openings do not show a bra which is often my main challenge with anything sleeveless. 🤨 I like the fitted back waist seam in this dress. Don’t know how it will look on me, but some dresses have a boxy or potato sack shape and this one seems to have addressed that potential problem nicely. Thanks for sharing the process.
