I love this top design. It is so feminine. That is a great tip on keeping your elastic a little longer until you are sure of the fit you want. You do such an amazing job explaining and demonstrating the process. Your sewing machine isn't the same as mine, but I thought it looked familiar. I have a similar Singer. I love mine.

That might be because you are using knit material. This pattern you should use cotton. If you sew with knit try using a walking foot

Hi Tina, I am glad you are giving this a try and did not give up. After viewing the video I should of showed it better. The fold is where you fold your fabric in half and then line up the folded fabric with the side that says fold, then trace it out. Its best if I show you and I do show it here in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKqxdYyopcqrhZI It will start at 1:47 and stop around 2:19 If you have any question do not Hesitate to ask and don't worry any smart comments will be deleted as it will not be tolerated as my video are How to sew. The only way we learn is ask question.

I have both the long sleeve and short sleeve in this pattern. In the video I am using the long sleeve. Your will see that is longer than the front and back of the shirt. If you are using the short sleeve it will be about the same size as the front and back. It might be confusing to tell them apart if you have small safety pins maybe use one on each sleeve to tell them apart.
