I love how detailed your instructions are without "wasting" the viewers' time showing you at the sewing machine. I know some people like to see those parts, but with a pattern like this I think just seeing your seams between all of the steps is perfectly sufficient. :) I've been scouring the internet for a good free slipper pattern, but haven't had much luck finding toddler sizes. I have a 3 year old and a baby on the way so a pattern like this would be absolutely perfect. I would also make a pair or two or three for myself since I can't justify spending the money on slippers from the store that can't go in the washing machine - therefore only lasting 1 season. I imagine these would wash just fine (depending on the materials used). I'm definitely going to buy this pattern sometime! It's such a great price too! :D

I just purchased the pattern! I can't wait to start sewing! My daughter is turning 3 in two weeks so I'll be giving her a pair then. I am so excited that my second daughter (due in Jan. 2021) will be able to wear these in the car this winter! I live in Canada so our winters can been pretty intense. Thank you so much for this step-by-step video. I can already tell that watching it will help me so much more than just looking at the pictures included in the pattern. Thank you, also, for including all possible sizes in this very affordable pattern! There was another maker that I almost bought from, but to get all of the sizes you would have to purchase 3 or 4 PDF files each priced at around the same as your whole bundle. I very much appreciate your price!! That is one of the reasons I chose to buy from you. Another being that this video is much less confusing that the one from the other maker. And of course your pattern is absolutely adorable and so comfortable looking! Thanks again! :)

Thank you so much for this clear instructional video! I need to design some warm, comfortable knee-high soled booties for my elderly father. They need to be quick on and off and have velcro but most importantly, there absolutely cannot be any exposed seams. He is 88 years old with dementia and has been recovering st home for a year from a broken femur and hip surgery. Your pattern is absolutely ingenious and I sincerely appreciate you so much for this video.

It's a neat pattern but I have found that the size I made is too small for my foot. I measured my foot length with a ruler to be accurate. Has anyone else found you need a size or two bigger? (This video is really helpful! Thanks for making it.)

Just purchased your pattern, So when using woven like flannel or a woven cotton on the outside would you sugest goint up a size because it is not stretchy like a knit?

I used fabric like you mention and it's not stretching around my foot. I wish I'd made a bigger size (or 2). How did it go with your slippers if you've made them?

@@deannaf3476 I have made them..and a lot of my students we used flannel and fleece...so they do stretch around my feet did you follow the grainlines when cutting them with your fabric?

@@Sewgirlful Hi, yes, I followed the lines. I also sewed quite close to the outside edge. With a light sock on, for the length they're just long enough but they're narrow on my feet, especially across the bridge of my foot...under the arch. My foot isn't very wide so I don't know what's happened. I also haven't got the final fleece layer under the foot that I prepped to put in but I don't think there is room. I anticipated it would be a little roomier. Did you design it for bare feet?

@@Sewgirlful ah...no worries! :-). I'm glad yours worked out. I'm wondering if my fabric was too thick. It was a fleece and not sherpa. I'm also a new sewer. I had all sorts of trouble getting my stitches to work through the thickness. I had to add extra pressure to the foot with my finger and then it worked. It's been a learning curve. I'm thinking I'm going to adjust the pattern so it's wider and a bit longer. I do also want to be able to wear various thicknesses of socks or go bare foot and have the slipper work for all those (thanks in big part to the wrap around strap!). ...oh...and I just realized you asked me about "grainlines". That I am not sure about. I'll check. thanks for asking about it.

I am 63 and becoming less limber, so I wear the booties with the snaps on the inside of my ankles so it's easier to snap...they still look cute!

Did you use stabilizer for the knit fabric on top?

I only use stabilizer if both of my fabrics are stretchy. If either the outer fabric or the lining is non-stretch I don't bother with interfacing
