I bake all of our bread and would love to try this! I assume they would need to be kind of sanitized, with no scented soap. What do you suggest to wash them in? Thank you! That's a very good tutorial.

Thank you so much! I wash my fabric prior to sewing, and then of course after use, in my homemade laundry soap, but you could use unscented soap or even hand wash them in Castile soap. Please let me know if you have any other questions :)

I'd create the channel before hand. Turn down the tops and then sew the side seams. Can you coat this bag with bees wax and avoid having to wrap and insert. Thank you!

That's a great idea; I never thought to make them that way! You can coat the bag in beeswax if you'd like, although I haven't tried it yet. I'd probably do that after you sew it though.

How do you coat the bag in Beeswax?
@thesimplehomeplace3 күн бұрын
@@flgirl250 I don't know for sure since I haven't tried it, but I'd probably turn it inside out then apply the beeswax mixture. I have a tutorial on how to make your own beeswax wraps so you could use that recipe on the bag. Again, I've never tried it, but I'm sure there are tutorials out there to do it. thesimplehomeplace.com/how-to-make-reusable-beeswax-food-wraps/

Ive heard that linen bags still dont keep bread from being hard…is there something i am missing to help keep bread soft and fresh???
@thesimplehomeplace4 ай бұрын
The best way I've found to keep my bread from getting hard is to wrap it in a beeswax wrap first, then place it in either a linen bread bag or a plastic bread bag. The beeswax wraps makes a HUGE difference I've noticed.
