I’ve been sewing a long time and am self taught. I wish I had someone like you to show me the steps back then. You do great explaining things.

Why did you do 2 different seam allowances for the crotch and leg?? I have never seen that done.
@patbowman67234 жыл бұрын
Can you please tell me why on the inside seam it calls for 1/4 to 5/8 inch? I have never seen this, mostly I sew ladies clothes and haven't come across this. I'm never too old to learn. Thank you.

Hi Pat. The crotch area is curved and the fabric will lay better if it is 1/4" wide seam rather than 5/8" wide. Hope this helps. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

I've been a sewer a long time and u brought to my attention two things I didn't know or understand. 1. The flare on the bottom of the pants - didn't know why they did that and 2. WHY GO IN ON THE CROTCH SEEM TO 1/4 inch. I've never sewn the seam that way always sewn the seam at 5/8 in? Please explain Thanks in advance

Hi Charlene. The crotch area is a curve and a 1/4" wide seam will lay better around the curve rather than a 5/8" wide seam. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
