Evie La Luve, your preferred method for the straps has now become my preferred method. I watched and tried so many different ways - but yours turn out perfectly. Just like all your knicker patterns and your other tutorials. Thank you

I thought so too and I've been sewing for years and years! I always had a fear of straps, nothing else, just turning those danged straps inside out!

I've been sewing since I was a 6 year old and you taught me a trick for turning out ties or spaghetti straps which has driven me nuts for years! I will be using it for making elastic ties for face masks! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Brilliant!

Thank you for this tutorial! 💕 when you first sewed the rubber elastic to the fabric , how did you set your Serger as in what stitch length, width , 4 threads used and the differential feed was set at where? I remember you saying the knife was disengaged. Thanks in advance

Hi Evie La Luve! Ive been scouring the Internet to see if I can find information on making braided straps. My question is if you think I should make each strap with the elastic, then braid them together, or if you think making elastic free tubes and braiding them together would be enough support to maintain the stretch and hold. Just wanted your opinion! thanks :) I'm leaning toward no elastic due to bulkiness.

When you are using the serger, are u using all four threads?
@EVIElaLUVE6 жыл бұрын
I used three threads.
@SewingwithSessi7 жыл бұрын
any specific type of thread used for this strap technique. and also where do you get your thread thats on the thread holder rack...
@EVIElaLUVE7 жыл бұрын
Just a polyester thread rather than cotton. The threads on the rack are Coats Moon threads like the ones available here: www.minervacrafts.com/shop/sewing/thread/m1000-m-coats-moon-polyester-sewing-thread?gclid=CjwKEAjw4IjKBRDr6p752cCUm3kSJAC-eqRtNklbOg42gEY-Q8UEAz7ket72kJptNO8kBjbck_39dBoC-GDw_wcB

Hi, where you buy swim fabric online?
@EVIElaLUVE7 жыл бұрын
Funki Fabrics in the UK, the Fabric Fairy in the US (also great for swim elastics) and the sports lycra fabric from Spoonflower, all great for swimwear! As well as scuba fabrics from places like Fab Works and Fabric Styles.
