Thank you for a job well done, a great project. I just made one for my elderly mom and have a couple suggestions. At the point where you want to have the 5" in the center, just place your ruler on the center mark at 2 1/2" and bring the left side of fabric to the left edge of ruler and the right edge to the 5" mark. No more going back and forth to check the space. I also sewed down the center of one of the pockets to make two smaller ones. Just ideas for you.
