Yes I start erasing it when I'm adding finer details and at the end I completely remove that layer

Yes I am ^^ and I'm glad you do ❤️ I would suggest you to follow your heart, ask yourself what you want rather than what others want you to do. If you consider digital art as real art ( which obviously IS real ) and you want to pursue it, then don't let others demotivate you. Find inspiration from of digital artists, keep on practicing and one day you'll surprise those people with your gorgeous art. I'm sure they will understand that digital art also needs time, effort and lots of skill. Have faith and do what you want to do!
