I took the return spring out, it actually works very well

No there is a little spring between the frame and the armature bar. You can see it in the review video on my channel

Yikes, it’s a trad tattoo with the balls chopped off.. I like your channel Bart and want to see you do well, just study each style and really look at each section not just the whole piece.. you will start to see things in each style and be able to apply them to your own designs. Good luck
