@OnlineTemplateShop8 ай бұрын
When someone makes a copy of any template, they have full access to all assets and designs in that template. Yes, they could potentially sell the design. No, there's no way to stop it. You can have a solid terms and conditions policy and a license agreement, but even that won't stop a determined thief. Don't let the fear of someone stealing from you stop you from creating and selling.

Hi Yadsia. I have a Pro account and pulled the link from "Share a link to use as template." I've discovered that as students are editing their templates, their changes *are* changing the master. Is this right? I thought with my pro account the edits would only show on their end. Do I need to do a "Stop" message on page 1 like you did? I thought that was only for if the original creator didn't have pro. Learning as I go! Thank you!
@OnlineTemplateShop4 жыл бұрын
@@KacyPaide That's strange! If you're on the Pro version and sharing the "template" link, that shouldn't be happening. What that link does is it forces a copy into the users account. When you share the "edit" link, you're sharing the actual file (not a copy) so all changed will be reflected. Now.... do you mean that YOU can see their changes? OR that THEY can see each other's changes. Email me at hello@onlinetemplateshop.com or send me a message on FB. I'd love to help you with this.

@OnlineTemplateShop4 жыл бұрын
There is no way of stopping this. I have had this happen to me a few times already. All I could do I send a Copyright complaint to Etsy and Fiverr (where people were re-selling my work) and they took it down immediately. I've also started changing registration links quite frequently. Which means, that if someone purchases from the bootleggers, they won't be able to actually download my product because the link is broken. There are a few workarounds, as you can see, but you can't stop someone from stealing, unfortunately. But please, do not let this stop you from creating and selling your products!

Is there a workaround that in the case this scenario happens? For example, could I have a PDF with a link for each user that purchases from me versus having everyone going to the same Google doc to access the link? 2) Referring to the paid Canva subscription for the shared template: Once the user accesses the Canva template from the Google link, will they have their own personal file that they can edit? Or can anyone/everyone have access to that same copied template file?
