Yeah, iPhones are so simple to use I can't even do this after watching the video. On my Android all I do is plug it in and select tether in the USB options and then I can use it as a personal hotspot over wifi for other devices as well. Why is the iPhone making this so hard

@@ImChrisl No, they don't. The iPhone lacking a common and open interface to communicate with non-Apple devices is the problem. It doesn't work on Linux either. You're telling me Microsoft and Linux distributions are intentionally making it hard but various Android devices just work? Get a grip. This is merely the typical "if not all your debices are from Apple then we make things hard for you" attitude from Apple. Think about how many of their devices either don't work with non-Apple stuff or it's impossible to update firmware or other such stuff

If the iPhone doesn’t appear under connections you need to open iTunes, if you don’t have iTunes on your computer then try to install it on another pc get it on a usb stick and download it on the other Pc without internet thru the usb stick. Maybe this helps Another soloution could be to download the iTunes exe on your mobile phone and then transfer it somehow via Bluetooth or a usb stick or via cable or something to the (pc without internet) Hope this helps if you are having problems.

i used a family member's *SAMSUNG* phone to temporarily connect my pc to the internet and and download itunes to my pc 🙄 apple makes everything so difficult, im definitely switching once this phone breaks

Can someone confirm? Is it like if your mobile plan doesn't include wifi hotspot add-on, then you can't do this? I tried many times, this Ethernet 2 thing won't show up. I know, we are transferring mobile data wired through USB cable as ethernet. I have installed iTunes logged in, and trusted device, I still don't see this Ethernet 2 network adapter. Another paradox is, I believe this Ethernet 2 is some kind of drivers, and installing drivers will require your PC to find info from microsoft through the internet but there is no internet. And when you do have internet, your PC will not prompt to find the network adapter drivers for it because you are already connected to the internet. 😂

For anyone with a new age Samsung just go to your mobile hotspot settings and press the back button then just press usb tethering and make sure you are using a usb cable that has data transfer:)

the thing is that my cable wont work via USB, I worked sometimes, it now only shows ethernet not connected, 'but it is still showing apple device, in my case my cable probably is damaged for some reason, but it can still use to browser my iPhone photos and using iTunes, so i guess it is not ?
