When sharpening the step bit why did you grind the outside of the bit? I assumed only the flat face would need grinding. Waiting for somebody to make video on sharpening those spiral step bits like Milwaukee makes now.

My dad told me when he was a kid their family and government motto was "Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do". This guy is a great example of how to keep going with what you have. Its not the newest and shiniest but he is definitely a problem solver. If we're choosing team members he would be a top choice. Anybody can buy a new one. Half the people I know would be stopped cold because they are not capable of problem solving except with a fat wallet.
