I always bend my knee when I shave it so that it’s a bit smoother and the likelihood of cutting it decreases, and when I’m shaving my ankle, I always point my foot for the same reason, both little ‘hacks’ help me so much, especially because I have a bunch of extra bones in my knees and ankles!

I use conditioner. I know lots of people say "it's so easy to cut yourself tho!" but it really isn't, since the conditioner makes all the hairs really soft, you just have to be really gentle! My legs are also softer and not as irritated. I recommend 😊

Tip for them when they’re older! a men’s razor works really good , and you get a closer shave! also I shave both against the hair and with , it makes your legs very smooth! a scrub also makes your legs really really soft and smooth! finally when they are a lot older maybe try waxing! I heard it’s better because the hair doesn’t grow back as fast :)

Im glad you recommended the men’s razors, as men’s razor are angled differently from women’s razor, which makes it cut cleaner. the angle of the razor for women is safer as a result it isn’t as clean. one should be more experienced before using a men’s razors on legs, armpits and other areas.

I struggle with ingrown hairs since I began shaving, and I learned to shave with the grain first (so down my legs) because not only does it get rid of some of the hairs first so its makes it easier when you go against the grain (up the legs). Shaving with the grain it also cuts the hair differently so it doesn't grow back under the skin like it used to.

A good trick to not cut your knee is go left to right and not up and down because you have wrinkles going side to side so if you go up and down it hits the wrinkles and cuts you easier then going side to side and make sure to bend your knee then you can get into the cracks on the wrinkles and they won't have little piece of hair sticking up when you stand up, I hope this helps. Also make sure to put lotion on after you shave so your legs don't dry out.

I personally use a specific technique when shaving that I really like and would recommend: I shave up my leg, then move the blade back down my leg over the same part I just shaved (keep the blade facing the same direction it was when you brought it up your leg with the handle side being closest to your body and the blade leading when you move the blade down your leg instead of turning the blade with the handle leading) to get any hair of shaving cream or whatever you use out of the blade and then shave up the same part of your leg you just did to get a closer shave and to exfoliate and dead skin on the surface of your leg making your leg really smooth and it makes your shave last way longer before you have to shave again.

In my personal opinion EOS is the way to go for beginners, it’s more of a lotion like texture so you can see the hair and where your shaving better preventing cuts and razor burn, every time I have cut myself was using regular foam. Just a tip!

I have a tip for when you need to shave your knees (this also helps if you have a cut as well), you can use a special shaved that’s made for your face but it still works for your knees and ankles. It also doesn’t need shaving cream so it won’t sting if shaving cream makes your cuts sting

I don’t use shaving cream to shave my legs I use conditioner and I know that that’s gonna sound really weird but one it saves me a lot of money because I’m a girl and I have a lot of hair so I already have to get a lot of conditioner so I just put that on my legs one and two it makes my legs so soft and smooth and if you get the right conditioner Some of them have like roses in them. Some of them have aloe some of them have something else in them so if you put on your legs, it could be a benefit for your legs. Some machine is very expensive so I just use a bunch of conditioner on my legs, my legs

If you have lighter hair, I suggest not shaving the tops for a while because they grow back faster and worse. They get darker and thicker so if you can avoid shaving too far above your knee it’s probably for the best!

My mom taught me to never shave the top part of your leg - just from the top of the knee down. And you’ll never have to shave the top part. I’m 36 & have no hair on the top part of my leg! Granted, I have very fair hair, so that may have made a difference but I’ve never shaved any further!

Ok the biggest tip of the century for nayvee and paislee. When you're shaving your ankles, go super duper slow and make sure there's shaving cream. I was rushing once and I took a huge strip of skin off my ankle, it would not stop bleeding for days. Worst shaving cut ever and I now have a scar cause of it. Be super careful!!

how to shave sensitive skin: 1. Get the area wet 2. Use a sugar scrub to get all the dead skin off 3. Apply sensitive skin shave foam 4. Gently shave 5. Use a good body wash 6. When you finish and dry off put on sensitive skin lotion - if you cut yourself try putting aquaphor or Vaseline -put on some music to make time go by faster - be gentle on your skin
