How to Ship Baseball Hats for Ebay Etsy and online sales CHEAP AND QUICK!

After multiple requests on how I ship baseball hats, here is a video for a step by step guide on how to ship hats. My setup is done through First class Mail, ideal box size is 7x7x7, ecoswift brand boxes, scotch packing/shipping tape and a dymo labelwriter 4xl printer for labels.

How would you ship if you get an order for multiple hats? Would a second (or third) hat fit in the same box or would you adjust the size of the boxes?

I do 1st class too but ball up newspaper in plastic & put that in the cap then put the cap in plastic then paper on both side of the bill. But not tight so if the box is squished some how there is a cushion. I also tape all the open edges of the box to keep out dirt or dust. I write fragile & no heavy boxes on top. It may be a bit of over kill but a little will do a little good & a lot will do a lotta good. I only sold 7 hats that I got from our only goodwill for $1 each. Mostly sell 1880's to 1920's paper documents & checks. Also horse shoes & RR spikes, other cool old things. Always interested it what Mr. Taco has to say. Youv'e taught me a few things, Thanks, John from Wyoming! FYI-1 goodwill, 2 flea markets, no salvation army or others stores like that. Closest "city" with prairie between is Cheyenne. 60 miles over a 8000 feet summit. So lot's of dumpster diving & garage sales in the 4+ months of summer.

You can also get the 7x7x6 boxes free from the post office and then put that box inside of a larger poly mailer. You can still ship first class, protect the hat with the free box and your cost is just the poly mailer covering the priority box

You can put in clear bag and tape or saran wrap. Nice appearance. Plus if it got wet, it will protect it.

taco stacks when your doing dumpster dives go to gamestop those 7x7x7 boxes are plentiful in there recycling bin. I get lucky find 30-40 at a time.

You can ship with free priority boxes. Wrap the box in shipping wrap/brown paper. ;) looks extra crafty and cute too, in my opinion.

Just a note the benefit of shipping priority mail is you have insurance up to $100. If I were to sell a hat over $40 to $50 plus shipping I probably would ship priority mail. Where do you draw the line? I have a friend that never will spend any more $$$ then he has to even if the item is a value of $200 he will not pay the additional insurance fees.

Taco...you need to ship PIRATE SHIP...can STILL use priority box, but it's cheaper. Use Polly mailers for clothing going Pirate Ship...I can send anything under a pound from coast to coast for at most seven bucks. GO PIRATE SHIP, print and pay at home, drop off at post office, no wait.

Or you can get free brown boxes at dollar tree or five & below dumpsters or any other store dumpster if they don't lock them. Think in one of those two stores dumpsters is where Tucker Upper got few boxes to ship his hats

I can't imagine ever shipping a hat priority. They all weigh under 16 oz. I get those polybags for free from Ebay so I take the priority box and cut it down in height then put the hat in it. Then I put the box inside the free polymailer bag and seal it up. About $3.50 later it's ready to go.

Check around on eBay and look at reviews. Box companies change their quality of their boxes. At the filming of this video I used the company eco swift but they have since changed to a lighter material and it's not as structurally supported as it once was.

the 8x8x8 I haven't tried, I don't know if the added weight will be an issue. I don't have an eBay store. Also you might not want to use eBay packaging if you are shipping with another platform as some people purposefully are against eBay and it's policies so if they received an eBay box they might be upset as they didn't order from eBay
