There isn't much in regards to vlog settings. Pretty much everything on the mark ii carries over to the mark iii. The only thing I did was map the star button to the ND filter, which comes in handy going from indoor to outdoor.

Are you checking while you're in photo or video mode?

If you don't see the timelapse option... Make sure that you are in the video setting (camera symbol on the top right of the camera). Also, that you are in the auto video settings. I hope it helps.

I did everything you say here. When I wanted to see what I filmed I see that it was filmed in fast mode. Why?

When you playback timelapse, it'll always playback fast.

I noticed the focus softening or hunting frequently as you moved back and forth. Was the focus locked manually or is the camera hunting?

Nice video. I want to time lapse my deck project but whichever combination I try I can’t get more than 1.5 hours / 30 secs. On the MKii there was an ‘unlimited’ (till the battery dies) option but I can’t find one on the MK iii - any thoughts?

Did some searching in forums and found the following regarding timelapse on the mark ii: "the only timelapse setting on unlimited is on the Star Mode. You are restricted to a minimum of 15 secs between shots which doesn't help targeting certain scenes." Hope that helps!

@@khanceptbelal Thanks- yes saw that but nothing for the MKiii. I have emailed Canon but nothing back. I suspect there isn't an unlimited option but may be pleasantly surprised.

Not sure if there's a button on the camera. You have to access it from the menu while you're in video mode.
