One reason why the G23 is the best, with conversion barrels you can fire 4 different calibers from the same gun. 40, 9mm, 358sig, and 22 Really a great SHTF gun just for that reason alone
@FuzedBox Жыл бұрын
@KappaKiller108 I'd argue the G32 is a hair better than the G23 for this purpose. 1) Although they're the same gun, the 32 says "357" on the slide, which is inherently cooler. Okay, that's subjective... but 2) A .40 conversion barrel in a 32 is inherently better than the stock .40 in the 23; the chamber better supports the case head and you get peace of mind with reloads.

Not to mention if I want a .50 cal pistol, I'll run my 7.5 inch .500 Magnum with muzzle brake or .50AE Deagle. Pro tip… When I installed the .40-to-9 conversion barrel in my G35, I also wound up needing to install a G34 recoil spring due to stovepiping, since the 9mm doesn’t produce sufficient energy for the G35’s slide to travel completely rearward against the resistance of the .40 recoil spring. Upon installation of the G34 recoil spring, however, she became an absolute machine set up for 9mm. Perfection. With that said, I also installed the .40-to-9 conversion barrel in my G27 with no need for a different recoil spring. Runs flawlessly as is.

The 40 and .357 sig ejectors in two cases did not work for me when using 9 mm conversions barrels. once witha g33 and once with a g22. A change in the ejector to that of 9x19 specification resulted in 100% ejections. The ammo was steel case 9mm wolf and the conversion barrels were from another source other than the glock store. Steel case russian wolf gives the most in the way of functional problems and if a gun will feed and eat the wolf ammo, it will likely fire any FMJ ammunition. One still needs to fire some hollow point also to make that it feed your carry ammo.

I don't see how that would work. Those bottleneck rounds are long and I'm not even sure they would fit in that 9mm mag well with the mag in. And I'm not sure they can design a barrel to compensate for the angle that the round is seated at in the magazine. It would probably need a different recoil spring and extractor. Actually, you would have to basically rebuild the whole gun because the hole in the side of the slide isn't long enough for a 5.7 to eject from a glock so you would need a whole new upper. Might as well just buy a gun chambered in 5.7 like the new smith and wesson unless glock releases a 5.7...

OK, well, I've never owned a side arm, and have always relied on hand-to-hand, blade weapons, and other objects to defend myself in close quarters. I've used martial arts training for decades, and never needed a firearm. I've faced several people who have them, and they were useless in the face of my skills. I always have a weapon in my hands because my hands are weapons - as are my elbows, my head, my forearms, my knees, and my feet. I'm not huge, muscular, or even very strong. I just have a mastery of motion and personal energy that allows me to control both myself and my opponent/partner. It has allowed me to successfully disarm attackers before they got their weapon in their hand. The moral of this story is that a gun does you no good at all if it's not in your hand, ready to fire, pointed at the target. I am exactly the factor that proves it. I'm not even military trained. I'm just a student of personal defense arts. I don't compete. I just protect myself and those with me, when necessary. That was all working just fine and dandy until I got sick a couple of years ago. Now my body won't do any of those things, let alone do them so fast people don't see them happening. This has led me to begin considering a small personal side arm. I'm not in places or situations where I'm directly in danger, but I go to places where other people mix it up occasionally. I don't want to be dragged into anything, or wrong place/wrong timed. So, what I need to know about a firearm is this. What's the smallest weapon with the most stopping powre, that will guarantee sufficient impact within six feet of the target so it doesn't just flinch and keep coming, or have bullets bounce off of thick clothing? Before you answer, I've seen things. A big enough guy won't even flinch about a 9mm. Also, some people have leather that makes anything smaller than 9mm stop cold, like it's Kevlar. Plus, I'm starting to think werewolves might be real. I'm just saying, I've seen some things. Seriously, I know how to shoot a pistol from growing up around them, but I've always been self-sufficient without them. What's the best, smallest, most powerful option for concealed carrying?.

Im here to learn about the 40 cal to .357 sig conversion. I feel like G22s are cheap. Maybe 23s and getting the .357 swap would be cheaper than buying a G 31 or 32 new.

When will y’all have more g20 10mm-40 barrels in . Definitely need a gold one
@DisclosureTvNews Жыл бұрын
In reference to the 9mm/40 conversion. if the outside of the barrel is built like a 40 cal having more meat if you will. and the bore is 9mm. Would the conversion barrel support 9mm +p and +p+ ammo? Also your not gonna find any pistol ammo at any Walmart store.
@RichardLindenmayer Жыл бұрын
Unless you've got some special barrel there, a .357 sig will not fit in the 9mm barrel. You might want to be careful about that. The .357 round is the same size as a 40 until you get to the neck.

Is the 9x25 Dillon conversion for the G20/40 still being produced?? It’s a 10mm necked down to 9mm. Significantly more velocity than a .357 SIG with the same bullet weights.

The .50 caliber round uses slow burning powder. A minimum barrell length of 8" is required. For that round to achieve full potential.

Any word on a .22lr conversion for the G43x? You would sell millions of them. I really want one just for practicing trigger control. Hopefully it would come with a flush mag that holds about 30 rounds.

When I was stationed in Alaska, my buddy killed a huge grizzly with one shot from his 45, with a pin round. You remember the jaggity hollow points. With his left hand. That's how you know he was a stud. Holding his fishing pole in his right hand.

We have so many awesome guns now to choose from but I will always love my Glocks for many reasons and I think they will be like the 1911 popular and still have a big following in 80-100 years from now kinda like Gaston Glock gone but not forgotten may he rest in peace 🪦 ❤

@Thee_Sinner Жыл бұрын
Can’t you go from 9 to .40/.357sig by swapping the ejector?
@erroneous6947 Жыл бұрын
Can’t go up in bullet diameter. You would have a barrel to thin. 40 to 9mm just gives you an extra thick barrel.

@bigsarge6456 Жыл бұрын
Why does nobody ever mention the 45super round? Fits all 45acp guns. Kind of like a +P+ 45. Big 230 grain “flying ashtray” with higher velocity.

Lenny, is Glock less expensive than Canik? Is it more pointable than a Canik? How about the trigger, is the trigger on a factory Glock less swishy or more tactile than a walther? Glock IS the most popular, but that is because people are afraid to look for a less expensive, more versatile product. I like Glock, but there is much better out there to better prices.

I have all of the "civilian" trial guns in my collection. Not a Glock fan boy at all but the 19x is my favorite of 8 trial pistols and the Sig m17 let me down more than any other pistol I've owned before firing a single round. Made the mistake of holstering it in an custom alien gear holster twice to notice it scratched and scuffed the finish on both sides of the slide. Inside the slide is bare metal just from racking it in the house. Send pictures to Sig they said finish wear is normal from any holstering. Been almost 2 years still sits in a gun safe unfired being the last Sig I buy.
@kdcustoms1272 Жыл бұрын
Yeah well wear where the slide meets the frame is normal.🤷
@ZacharyGalloway Жыл бұрын
@@kdcustoms1272 Yes perfectly normal for a used gun with a lot of training and rounds fired. Brand new out of the case after it gets holstered a few times and racking it isnt normal for anything. None of my other pistols have ever had that issue. 19x I've been doing drills with for years with no finish wear. Cerakoted guns I've done myself at home without wear like this. Lots of people have had the same problems with Sig models with their cayote finish. 🤷♂
