Guth wine Hi Guth, he is not really doing anything with his wrist (or should not be). When the arrow is released, there's still energy in the bow and this makes it move forward too. The stabilisation is set up so the energy is used to rotate the bow down about the arrow rest so any movement in the bow does not affect the arrow flight. If you look carefully, you can see he has a finger sling between his thumb and forefinger so the bow stays in his hand without having to grip it.

The "huge stick" you refer to is a "long rod" stabilizer which helps to damp out any involuntary movement of the archer at full draw which helps the archer to keep the sight on the target steadier for longer enabling a more accurate shot. The only downside of this is increased weight, especially as you often need to counter-balance this weight with a shorter rod behind the bow with yet more weight. You don't need to do "that thing" with the wrist after the shot but it helps with "follow through" and takes some excess strain off the wrist from the bow tipping forward after the shot preventing possible injury in the long term. The bow tipping forward does not affect the flight of the arrow as the arrow has left the bow long before there is any movement of the bow after the release aid is activated. It's just too fast to be affected!

Stand like your going to shoot , make an L with your left hand (bow hand) thumb and pointer finger, all other fingers extended. Put the grip of the bow in the crook of the L between your thumb and pointer, keep your hand flexed tight and aim the bow while pulling on the string to keep the bow grip in the crook of the L your making (don’t grasp the bow let the pressure of your arrow hand pulling on the string slightly hold the bow in the crook of the L your making with your left hand. In order to keep the bow from falling you should have pressure on string and your left arm is stiff. Note the angle your arm must be at in order to hold the bow without grasping it. Now WITHOUT MOVING ANYTHING BUT YOUR HAND . Grasp the bow slightly but keep holding it against that L between your thumb and forefinger. This is the angle your arm must be to not be scraped . Start out griping it this way then adjust your hand grip to a more comfortable one, if the sting bites you start over. I hope this made sense it’s hard to put into words.

I appreciate that World Archery is making some videos for people that don't know anything about archery, but were interested enough to google "how to shoot a compound bow." Sure, they could have a ton more detail, but those should be separate videos in my opinion. (And while they've got Lexi and Mike in the studio, they really should make a bunch more!)
