Yes, you can use a gimbal for a hyperlapse, but you need to be steady and keep the frame as consistent as you can through your move.

Actually it looks simple in this tutorial, and it is presented as being a piece of cake, but it's far from being that simple. In my opinion if you go for less than 5 second movies, it is too short, so imagine that you have to take at least 150 shots. Imagine that you have to move the tripod and refocus 150, 200, 240 or even more times, and that fast enough before the intervalometer takes the next shot. There was no mention in the tutorial about the interval between shots, this is important too. It has to be long enough to allow you to do move and refocus. I found the explanations a little bit on the fast forward too; Everything was on the fast forward. I was hoping to see slowly step by step, what to do before the first shot and in between shots. But overall an interesting tutorial.
@pond56 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. When shooting with an intervalometer, you should definitely make your interval long enough so that you can get your camera set up comfortably before snapping the next photo. You can also read the blog for some additional information. blog.pond5.com/12156-how-to-shoot-a-great-hyperlapse-video/
@anzaeria Жыл бұрын
You shouldn't need to refocus before each shot. Focus once in the beginning and that's it. Make sure you have enough depth of field and each photo should turn out sharp.

Hey! You need to import them into an editing program as individual files, or as an image sequence. Either way the files need to be 1 frame each. Watch the end of this tutorial for more: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6K6cqOtoduZp9km29s

One more comment in 1.4minit you tell us for Hyperlapse so in that one I have some confusion , that you tell us fix a focus point but while 1:04minit video start there is no focus point or the Architecture in 1:07minit there suddenly one Architecture appears there is foucus point for this architecture but how you did two both with focus point or not focus point together???????????
@pond56 жыл бұрын
If there's no focus point throughout the entirety of your move, make sure to keep your frame as consistent as possible. If you have any movement in your shot, make sure they're tiny, because it won't work with large changes to the frame.
@AGCreationsflorida6 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to just chop up a full video into a hyperlapse video? Similar to making gifs in photoshop?
@pond56 жыл бұрын
As long as the video is stabilized either with a gimbal or with an effect like warp stabilizer, you can apply the posterize time effect and then increase the clip speed to get something that looks like a hyperlapse. Adding motion blur would also help it look like an actual hyperlapse. Good luck!
@lonelyspeckarp6 жыл бұрын
How could I take steps for each shots? If in my font I don't have any gaps like you showed in video or any lineup for steps then how can I do? And if I haven't any marking things like pencil or pen how can I mark the positions for Hyperlapse, after all I have this problem, great problem about steps while I going for shoot I just confused how to take architecture? First point an area while I fix the anchor point then move , focus and click if for zoom just zoom in or out , I know that, stepping I just take 30-50cm for each shots...Please reply me I need help!!!
@pond56 жыл бұрын
Hey! If you don't have a crack in the ground or a pen/pencil for marking out your shots, just do your best to go in a straight line and keep the same focal point with every shot.

@pond56 жыл бұрын
If you want to add a zoom to your hyperlapse, you need to slightly adjust the focal length on your lens as you move the camera. Move the camera, adjust the focal length (in or out), then repeat. This tutorial is a good example of the technique: vimeo.com/102412299

@pond55 жыл бұрын
You can use either, but check your focus every frame or two to make sure it's still focused properly! That said, manual focus for video hyperlapses with a gimbal or drone are not very easy or practical.

Don't use gimbal for long exposure. Manual focus and use focus peaking on your camera ;)
