On the underexposure v. overexposure point, you can recover more information from the highlights, but color reversal film needs to be handled without over-exposing.

@@SkylerWagoner 1. RAW Photoshoot videos, just you and the model in your element, no explaining just you at work. This would be so satisfying to analyse. 2.The business side of being a photographer: Pricing, planning, workflow to delivery of pictures 3. Tips on overcoming imposter syndrome as a photographer in a world full of amazing photographers 4. A guide for shooting in 35mm for the first time

I’ve never been able to shoot portraits (time and scheduling) but this definitely helped inspire me to push my self a little more to take some portraits!

Yes dude do it! Even at night if you have more free time you can create some awesome work. The thumbnail was shot at night outside a shop no extra lighting either! Just the one outside the shop.

Sorry about that! I usually only bounce between the 24-70 2.8 & the 50 1.8! Hope that helps 🤞

Really enjoying your channel and looking forward to what's coming next. Would you say your Canon 630 is similar to a DSLR in terms of automation or is there still a lot of manual setup, light metering etc? Thanks
@SkylerWagoner3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! I would say the 630 is very automatic. Almost too easy to use which makes it so great!

So if you lower your aperture are you raising your shutter speed? Not fully understanding how they go hand in hand
@SkylerWagoner2 ай бұрын
It just depends on how much blur you want! If it’s sunny out but you want to be at f/1.8 you would need to have a high shutter speed and low ISO, typically.

How do you go about finding your locations? Amazing vids

Honestly just driving around LA gets me inspired enough! I’m originally from a small town in the Midwest so anything that stands out to me here, I want to photograph.

I appreciate that thank you! I know most of these 35mm shots were scanned by a Fuji scanner but not exactly sure which type!

@@SkylerWagonerlooks like fuji frontier bit underexposed in camera. Are you doing it on purpose? Might try to go that way, mine always looks at the limit of hdr…🤷🏻♂️
