Thank you for creating this video, Eli. I was under the impression that we should use a gimbal. So I hadn't even bothered to practice video yet. Now I will. Even in the FB group, the members felt it would be unprofessional without one. Hard to keep a beginner budget at less than $1K ($600+$250+$200+$100). So adding a gimbal, puts it above that budget.

I like the good basic overview of the basic iPhone shots. Some people can overthink the camera moves. There are some very inexpensive smartphone gimbals less than half the price of the Osmo especially since you don't need some of the more arcane follow features some have. One reason to do the editing yourself though is for the fastest turnaround. Don't need to send files to someone else, get them back, and double-check that all the important shots were used. Perhaps do one on fast turnaround edited yourself videos and quickly adding the stock music. BTW an interesting business model to explore is if you live in an urban area you could do multiple condos, coops, upscale apartments in the same complex or at least the same block. You could do multiple units in an hour or so (and charge for that of course).

Also, was this video shot on 0.5x or 1x? The iPhone’s digital noise seems to be worse on 0.5x.

Have an iPhone 15 Pro Max. This house has more than ample natural light. In my experience, in houses that don’t have a good amount of natural light, wood floors/furniture show noise using the iPhone - even when manually controlling the settings in the DJI Mimo app, keeping a low ISO. I will say, I do love how the iPhone compensates for bright windows and they aren’t typically blown out. I choose my setup based on the house. If it isn’t well-lit, I’m using my professional camera so I can boost the ISO without the digital noise the iPhone seems to produce, even at low ISO values. If I’m shooting a waterfront property with amazing views out of the windows, and lots of natural light, I’m using the iPhone. Any thoughts on this or experience with uncontrollable iPhone noise?
