Antique clocks have 4-40 screws. I have also made them on the lathe

Awesome video, I been using those Klein strippers literally for bolt cutting. I have never had to cut any 4 or 5 screws but I’ve seen 4/40 screws for cameras. I bought mine 23yrs ago when I started and still have them and work perfect!

No it has to screw in. I'm sure they make one for metric

Knipex strippers are superior for screw cutting because you don't need to thread the screw in, and they still don't mess up the threads.

The end would be jagged or mushroomed and would not be able to get the nut or whatever on or off. Clean cut is always better
