I bought a hoodie from the Georgia Aquarium and was so excited got home and tried it on the sleeves are hecka long! They don’t have a return policy so I’m hoping that I can do this without messing it up. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼but your video gives me the confidence that it’s pretty simple so thank you! I love your method to shorten sleeves! But I'm confused about how to measure the amount I need to take off while leaving the original cuff on. I want the sleeves to fall at approximately a rolled cuff width, rolled twice. So let's say the cuff width is 1.5" .. please advise.

Fold up the sweater and pin it and then try it on. If you think it looks right then you can sew and cut. You could always put a basting stitch in first too. If you want to take it the sweater 3 inches then the fold is 1.5 when you sew it. Thank you for watching Sew Anastasia and happy sewing.

That is a great method, but I wihs you'd done it with a contrasting color to show the stitching.
