Even if you get rejected don't be discouraged. Don't expect them to like you eventually but if you do care for them, in my experience, it's been nicer to have them in my life. Just don't expect them to change their mind. I've found that there's a difference between infatuation and love. Love can only form with plenty of time to grow together, infatuation is much more surface level. Being rejected can hurt, but it's better than wondering "what if" or alternatively getting with someone who isn't certain of their feelings can be worse. Just remember that it will hurt for now, but better than dragging that hurt over an extended period.

I have a history with people always leaving me and always getting rejected and ignored after confessing. I know that feeling, I had a crush on a close friend. I never told him, but that doesn't changed the fact, that we aren't that close anymore. It probably wasn't caused by me having a crush on him, but by us developing different personalities which didn't fit together that well anymore. That made me realize, that friendship doesn't necessarily hold on forever anyway. So I probably don't have to worry that much about loosing friendship, if it's not necessarily that permanent as I thought. So it's probably bether to take the chance, than try to preserve the friendship. (But that's just my experience, I can't tell if that also applies for you.)

I had a habit of scaring away my crushes when I was younger and as a result of starting homeschooling, I've not really developed feelings for anyone. I'm trying to b a better, more receptive-to-others person, and one of my biggest insecurities is that I've always gotten clingy with people, even with people I'm not that close to. I'm not sure why I was like this, but I think my clingy behavior is linked to the separation anxiety I've experienced since birth. I'm worried I'll get clingy too soon again and scare away more people. As I've grown, I've picked up tips here and there about how to cope with this behavior. I've been learning about how to cope with separation and how to avoid scaring people away. I regret the actions I made when I was younger, but still feel guilty, even though I was pretty young and pretty ignorant at the time. i already did all these tips to my crush for the second time we meet each other. i meet my crush in a beach 15 years ago. because my family decided to go to a beach far away from our city. the moment i saw her i have a crush on her. but i'm still young and so shy at that time so i only appreciate her beauty from a distance. so when we already go home i really missed her and keep on thinking about her while in a car. after 15 years when i'm having my OJT (on job training) i cannot believe that she is also working in the resort establishment where i work also. and we even assigned together in a cafeteria. and we talk with each other and letting her know that i already know her and where she lives. but sadly she already has a boyfriend. i feel sad and happy at the same time because i am given a chance to talk to her and touch her and look to her beautiful eyes. maybe right now is not my time to be with her. but maybe we will be together somewhere in the future where my dreams come true

I know that making sure your crush even knows you exist is a must! One time i was sitting in PE and some random girl walks up to me and tells me she likes me, I didn't know what to do, I've never seen or heard of her before. I thought she was joking because i have no physical features that make me attractive. So I just played it off as a joke and she walked away really sad. I felt bad and wanted to talk to her but I didn't remember her name or even what she looked like.

There is this one boy in my school (I won't say who) and we met during 6th period. Over time, we became best friends. And over time, I started having feelings for him. I had his number, so we talked a lot. But, I never had the guys to tell him how I feel. (I've had crushed before, but I was always worried to be turned down) But one day, I decided it's finally time to tell him how I feel (this happened yesterday) I didn't straight up tell him, but I have him hints. He asked if I loved him. At first,I thought he would turn me down, but he said he felt the same way. And that he was scared I would not like him back. But, now we both know we like each other. in my honest and sincere opinion, if you aren’t sure whether he will do such horrible things to you as telling everyone you like him (when he doesn’t like you back, that is), and humiliating you in front of everyone, he’s not good enough for you. For your other concerns, I’d say it doesn’t matter much, just move on. There are “so many fish in the sea”. Go and find the right one for you.
