Everyone, definitely don't use makeup wipes to wash your face. They can irritate the skin, some contain harsh ingredients, and don't actually clean the skin (they move makeup around and just make it look clean). Just use the gentle cleanser or, even better, double cleanse!

What do you mean by don’t scrub? Like don’t scrub hard or don’t exfoliate?
@sav.39463 жыл бұрын
I believe what he means by this is, using a towel (or any item) to scrub your skin. You can exfoliate your skin, just don't do it everyday. Once a week or twice is good enough. When drying your face, make sure to use a clean towel and gently dab the towel onto the skin.
@ZiroOfficial3 жыл бұрын
@@sav.3946 thanks for clearing this up, I appreciate it! Although me being stupid I’ve been exfoliating daily 💀😂 but my black heads are disappearing and my skin looks better than it’s ever been, my pores also look like they have shrunk. Although I did have some flaky skin that I managed to remove, I know it’s not a good thing, but moisturiser helped a lot, my face doesn’t sting anymore either since the first time I done it🤝 imma start exfoliating 1-2 days a week now though cause I also read that somewhere else, thanks for the towel tip! Much appreciated. Hope you enjoyed reading my novel

Does pore expression help? I feel like clearing the pore allows less build-up of sebum which eventually stretches out your pores? At least I feel like it makes mine look smaller
@abc123youandme2 жыл бұрын
I'm not a doctor, let alone a dermatologist, but what has helped me tremendously is starting to use an AHA and a BHA and better cleansers that I've gotten in Ipsy and BoxyCharm boxes. My pores have always been huge and filled with sebum & sebaceous filaments. I've not had horrible acne, per se, but I spent a lot of time clearing junk from my pores. Once I added the aforementioned to my routine my pores are noticeably more toned. I hate to say smaller because someone always comes along and says you can't shrink them. Regardless, aside from sensitivity to the sun I have no complaints!! I use Neutrogena Pore Refining cleanser and Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub, together, twice a week in the shower.
@abc123youandme2 жыл бұрын
@@iCthe4 I use Neutrogena Pore Refining cleanser which says it has both AHA and BHA, and Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub with salicylic acid which is a BHA. I use them in the shower 2x a week. So, it's maybe overkill but this is how I do it. Essentially, wash face during normal shower routine, then when finished with the rest of the body I rinse my face and wash with a sponge using these two cleansers. Then after I rinse the conditioner out of my hair I was again with a CeraVe foaming facial cleanser that has ceramics and I think hyaluronic acid amongst other things. Then I personally, not recommending this for everyone, use an exfoliating cotton round and wipe my face with 70-something % isopropyl alcohol. I know it can be drying but this has always tightened my pores. Then I use a toner, I like Farmacy Deep Sweep, I think it is, and I love Andalou Naturals. I've never seen any reviews on them but personally love them. I also have magnifying mirrors and good sharp tweezers as well as a pore tool set. I spend a fair amount of time making sure I get any congestion I can pulled or expressed out. I will fairly regularly use an oil, such as rosehip oil, and saturate my face with it and massage it in. I find sebum plugs much easier to remove by doing it this way. No scientific research behind any of this that I am aware of,, just what I've found that works. I use a acne spot treatment for any inflamed areas and several different serums and moisturizers.
@GB-fb9vc2 жыл бұрын
no- your skin will just produce more oil to compensate. Don't squeeze your skin unless it's a pimple that's ready to erupt, in which case you should sanitize the skin, heat with a warm compress, and press, VERY gently, and then sanitize again. Avoid the habit of squeezing or picking at skin.

hey dude, not a doctor or acne specialist here, but one thing that’s worked for me, is swapping from the bar soap, and using liquid body wash with exfoliating beads, after u wash ur body wash ur hands before you wash your face!!! and then I use Dr brandts pore demobrasion face wash, followed by clean and clear salicylic acid (it will dry your skin out really badly so….) after you use clean and clear salicylic acid moisturizer, which continues the treatment while moisturizing rather than washing the treatment away to gain relief. this is just the routine that’s been working best for me however, I’m still watching the same video as I’m giving this advice 😅

Ok so I’m very cautious for what I put on my skin but no soap had seemed to be helping because I have very dry oily skin, like it’s like I have 2 layers ontop my skin and the first is dry and flaky and then it’s super oily above. And I had just started using dove bar soap cause I was like ok maybe I’m being to complicated with my skin care so I’m just using that and Cetaphil. My skin has gotten better but i just have kinda big pores on my cheeks and it’s not like I’m old like I’m 17 so I don’t think it’s aging but it’s always been a problem since maybe like my freshman year of highschool and I’m a jr about to be a senior…. They can stretch if they are blocked and aren't being properly cleaned. If you catch it in time, you may be able to help them heal and shrink a little by cleaning your face regularly, but it's more likely that if they've gotten pretty large, you won't ever be able to get them back to the original size.
