How to Sideboard | Cunning Sabine | Star Wars Unlimited Strategy

This deck has evolved a bit. I know I have sort of become the "Yellow Sabine" player in the content creator space. I really think Cunning/Yellow Sabine has a better sideboarding strategy than any other Sabine list.
This video will walk you through what to Sideboard in and what to Sideboard out against these tough control/midrange matchups or in the Sabine Mirror match.

Im really new to TCGs and made a Green Bean Deck due to pulling the majority of it and being a fan of Rebels anyway. Still making stupid mistakes but been trying to hit my LGS to play as often as I can. I really like this yellow concept and would love to be able to use my 2 Millennium Falcon cards (even though ill need to get a 3rd) and try this out!

I played a casual 5 round swiss tournament today and finished 1/24. I won all mirror matches and lost only to blue Chirrut due to bad play and bad card draw luck. Fun list! Thanks 👍🏻😃

Haha budget cunning Sabine I don’t think exists. Falcon is the main pull. I’ll do a comparison video once I have some serious tournament results ;p

@@rebelresource ya I realized the other day I should have bought falcons when they were $20 I'm on the Sabine cunning train though. I have a box coming from the UK once I see my pulls I'm reselling and getting some falcons.

I am only going to be a bit cheeky because you have really pushed this deck hard! But it has ended up "evolving" into essentially the Yellow Sabine list people were playing in November 2023! :P Mainly due to the inclusion of some bad cards previously. I still enjoy your content and I 100% respect that you always put your ideas out there with reasoning, but I do end up shouting at my screen sometimes! :D

To be fair, most decks are all playing the same core cards. It's like 80/20 right now all the same lists for the leaders with some small tweaks. I just checked, Unplayable posted that video in January (not November) of Yellow Sabine (www.swudb.com/deck/view/YdBxnGIe) - And the list is actually very different; I would say as different as the list can get right now with set 1 being out.

The reason why this list has shifted back to taking out some cards is due to Green Sabine being a deck that can win with ECL against Sabine. I do think yellow sabine has better side boarding tech and will ultimately become the better deck overall once we get more results.

@@rebelresource Yep can't argue with your first point. I am exaggerating for effect here though, there were far fewer cards spoiled at that time!

@@rebelresource I guess this is contextual, as one would have to define what you are trying to tech against. Green has some really good cards to bring in like U-wing for perhaps longer match ups. I am just finding hard to consider your (albeit well reasoned and effusive) based on some of the things you have said in previous videos. But I do like yellow sabine and I hope you have success with it. My opinion is that it isn't the best version, but that is the great thing about comments sections is that you can debate and take others points of view.

Question, why have Ezra in this deck to begin with? I see it in these Sabine builds but is it really just to combo a medal ceremony? That seems like a serious long shot. Chopper and Ezra both I don’t understand. Maybe R2 and Ezra.

Ezra can help get card advantage off the top - but I took him out. He is just too slow.

So every single LGS right now is doing best of 1, no sideboards. In a boba heavy matchup, would you drop all For a cause heroic sacrifice, i believe in, attack pods, and main the wolfes, gunships, and maybe put in Saw Guerrera (effect is like EIdolon from MTG)

All the LGS I’ve been to is doing Bo3 - that’s a bummer for you. I would go lower to the ground honestly and try to swarm in best of 1.

Upside is events are oner is 2 hours-2.5 ha. You think just run ALL the 1 drops? What do you think about Saw for his EIdolon effect?@@rebelresource

Hmm... I don't like him too much. He just dies to units then they play the events. Maybe he will be playable in set 2. but in my testing he has not been an all star.@@SurgicalNinja

yeah it is, sadly too many decks are pushing faster clocks and can win with insane combos out of no where. So the extra 5 life is worth it right now

Have you had much success with “For a cause” since changing the deck? Looks like there are 8 non-heroic cards to throw off your chances before you even start side-boarding.

For a cause is such a good game ender for a 3 cost if you have the initiative
