"Always" is one of my top favorite of Bon Jovi.👏👏👏👏

He uses his mixed voice even at the low parts of this song, cause he's adding really subtle nasality to the low part, if you keep that in mind, you can merge all the entire range with more cohesion, cause you keep nasality through all the song with different dose on each part.

That really works "think of the high notes as low notes" 👌

I am a terrible singer, but I love to sing hahaha!! Not sure how that works exactly, but that is why I came to your video!! This is so great! I love the way you explain things! I am going to keep trying, but I think my problem is exactly as you say... I just try to go higher, and it gets out of control.. and it's just impossible.. and it sounds terrible lol... but somehow to stay at that "level" is the key.. Thanks so much for such an awesome and enthusiastic video. So cool!

great analysis and recognition of Richie Sambora. The band is not the same at all without him!

He does sing heavens burst and in all 94 95 performances he nailed it just like studio word for word. See Wembley 95 for instance. Good video mate

Do someone know what is the high note on the chorus and in the highest part?
@chris9yearsago6984 жыл бұрын
I think its a4?
@danyjeff44473 жыл бұрын
highest in the chorus is a B4 on the word "will" (also on "shine" and "rhyme" in the "post chorus", as i like to call it). On the word "always" he sings an Ab4. Later in the outro after the last chorus he holds a c#5 and hits brief E5s and there are some falsetto F#5s during the fadeout. There is supposedly also a brief 6th octave note (his signature whistle scream) at the very end, but i was personally never able to fully make it out, because it is so quiet. And because it is not sung, i won't count it. Full range of the song: D3-F#5 Hope i could help :)

I've been saying this very thing about Richie since about 1987. I'm happy to hear a vocal coach agree. Nothing against Jon or his singing ability. He sings things that I can't. I just prefer Richie's voice to Jon's.
