Not only can NO ONE seriously cover this: VERY FEW have the “soul” to passionately punch out such a powerful emotional performance with room to spare! Till now in the history of mankind one person can gut this out with the CORRECT tone / pitch / timing / and clarity…… John Fogerty! Now Introducing the ONLY OTHER individual capable Of pulling it off: It’s a bird - it’s a plane it’s ….. Mr. Ken Tamplin. Epic respect to you Sir! 😮 Fortunate Son is the Mount Everest of underrated vocal challenges. Ken continues to conquer!

That part is up to you. Maybe learn to learn? An experienced, maybe trainer or an adept observer notices many things about this performance that might lead them to the right direction. Aha, now I listened to the end as well, well... take a singing course, maybe CVT or what have you, you will start to notice things. I got a few tips for sure. My band wants to cover this... oof...

I know a lot of people want to learn how to sing higher ( I do too) but I would love to learn how to increase my lower range. I plan on buying to course regardless, but I would love it if that was included! Thank you for the time that you put into all of your videos! You've inspired me to become a singer!

Hey Ken! I only want to ask your advice. Forgive me if it sounds critical, but your vocal manner of that song is different from original. John Fogherty didn't use so much tension and his manner wasn't so loud and heavy metal) Well, the question still stays. How to sing with that raspy effect and power but relaxed at the same time? It's the same about Bruce Springsteen for instance. He does it so naturaly and easy.

Wow! Ken, I think you're amazing. I love singing, but just for me. I've tried to learn how to sing but my voice is very thin and really annoying haha. I'm really busy right now but I want to buy your course as soon as I can. Sometimes I doubt when people say everyone can sing. My voice is a mess, I hope it can get better with your help. What do you think about Tobias Sammet's from Edguy and Avantasia singing? His voice looks also very thin and nasal, but not as thin as mine. Do you think it's possible for a person with a voice like this to sing?

I'd rate myself as a beginner, been singing 'properly' (as in, actually putting the effort in to learning) for just over a year and we do this song in the band I'm in - we're not great, so not gigging yet, but we're getting there. Anyway, although this song is well within my range (I can easily sing most RHCP tracks), I always seem to struggle with it - and have yet to learn the art of getting that 'gritty' sort of texture to my voice. Ken, I know you'll reply "this is covered in my course', but are there any hints or tips you can provide to a hard up beginner on how to start to get this sort of sound? Even if it's just links to other videos you've done, etc? Cheers in advance!

Hey Ken thanks for the videos I discovered them this afternoon and I am hooked. Don't you think John Fogerty is one of the most underrated male vocals of our time? He has this distortion that sounds very mature and almost husky but just comes so naturally and easily, such a pure soul sound and he had it at a young age (almost Joe Cocker-esque). Is this a fake distortion technique or do you think he was straining his voice? I can do it but I don't want to push it til it hurts. Also, 'm just gonna ask whats on everyone's mind, were you at Woodstock 69? Love to you brother your soul shines through your voice

You're welcome Ken. I'm not a professional singer but really enjoy karaoke with friends. I tend to imitate a singer's voice, rather than find my own and struggle when rock songs suddenly need a lot of power, so your training really helps! Punk suits me ok, I can manage some Green Day, Pistols and Ramones, also love the Foo Fighters and recently attempted Nirvana's Lithium. It's boring singing the same old safe easier songs, so I'm really hoping with practice I can better manage rock, which I'm more passionate about. You sound amazing on this, it really suits your voice, great meaningful lyrics too! Keep up the great work!
