Not a fan of the "airy/scoopy" effect used getting to the Ab or the C. For *my* taste, the way this aria, and particularly this section, *should* be sung is best demonstrated by Leontyne Price in her FINAL performance of Aida Over a 3 minute standing ovation in the middle of the opera. I heard it Live. She was almost 58.

Her musicality is not good. I much prefer Callas’ 1951 recording.

Her technique is so solid here. I just wish she didn’t scoop so much and sang actual legato!
