been singing (with little teachings) since i was 9, i'm mid 30's now, always thought when my "axel rose" voice disappeared around age 17, because of my voice starting to get really low, that i was just doomed to find a different genre of music. Now i''m sitting here, been singing songs like johnny cash, metallica, some foo fighters and what not for years, and i practice 3 days of pitch practice, just small steps the last 3 days and today i find this video and it just helps get that extra step and reinsurance, that over time i will get where i want to be (but it only took 4 days to go from nothing but air coming out to actually almost being able to hit all of Barry Gibbs tones and pitch in "you should be dancing") Really amazing practice you got going, keep it up, it's very helpful. I know i'm gonna hit the sub and the bell for more of this!

Keep setting it off - WOW! Thank you, Sir! From all accounts you are a man of honor that has led an honorable life. In my experience, those are the people who are the best teachers, give the best value and provide the most overall honest, comprehensive experience for others to be engaged in. An example for all of us. 30 to 40 years ago, we used to talk about the decadence of the age. Compared to today, those days seem like an age of protected integrity, where talent could thrive in a sea of freedom. So damn grateful I got to live it!

I have been doing the course on and off (mostly on) for about 8 years now and I am still amazed at the in depth knowledge of Ken Tamplin and how is is able to teach us about the voice. The say shortcuts are the longest way to success, and that is true. But not when when are talking vocal courses/coaches. The HTSBTAE course is the fastest shortcut to success when you consider all the useless info that most courses unfortunately have a lot of/ if not all of it. Just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing this! Barry Gibb is one of very few male vocalists besides Michael Jackson and Sir Paul McCartney who made it okay for us guys to sing falsetto. Probably just like you, I've gotten a lot of flak for singing "too much falsetto" at my open mic nights, and almost two decades ago, I made a tape of my singing for my now former boss at McDonald's, who accused me of singing "too much falsetto," which I wasn't because I was singing soft enough to not disturb my parents because I was still living at home at that time. However, too much is never enough!

So I was blown away when something in my feed… that I think even you may be a bit surprised by. Search ‘singing Janitor Richard Goodall!’ FYI Rudy Cardenas introduced him and I believe they shared a performance on stage kind of recently. The best version I think is the school one Literally just a guy with no training vocally! I did drop a comment to him to find you about your forums and course.

Hey Ken, I have been following you a while here in youtube and it is really interesting, when you cut these songs into pieces and explain all the techniques and how to do them in your singing. It is really fun and energisizing to watch these. A lot of new bands which I haven’t even heard off because I am so young and they sound so good. Anyway I got a suggestion. Would like to hear your opinion of a band and song ”BEAST IN BLACK - Blind and frozen”. Everyone is praising the signer and I would like to hear your notes of him too. Keep it going! what always triggers me in the videos where you're singing is the way you use your tongue. i mean, i know it's a helpful way to make the sounds different and probably singing artists use their tongue more expressively when actually recording but you never see them sing live like that... so, what's that about? :D
