Always exciting to see another video from you Madeleine! The way you explain everything without pressure or harsh delivery is invaluable. I’m sure you are freeing so many voices that would otherwise be trapped beneath poor technique, lack of confidence etc. Thank you ☺️🌻

Thank you so much for your easily understandable lessons. They have been so helpful. You know what I'd love to see you do? A warm-up video. Like a 10 or 20 min video of you just doing exercises that I could do on every day in the car on the way to my show. I can warm up on my own a cappella but it's easier to have you moving up the scales. Plus, I love how you do the exercise every other key change. Keep making videos!

I found this (part1-3) on Friday and with almost immediate affect I had a great gig on Saturday. The breathing visual maintained a relaxed path to the mic and my high range seemed much more accessible. Still lots of work to do but feel great about next gig. Thank you

I'm 28 and I never ever sang before, not even in the shower or anything, because "it's what singers do, and they're grown on a singing tree or something, right?". I decided to try a bit anyway and youtube has a lot of stuff on the topic. What amazes me at how Madeline teaches is that I never feel like I should have went to a music shcool for 10 years to understand the topic, somehow I just do and I'm sure others do too. I've been smoking for 7 years now, but this inspired me to stop and explore what my voice can do. I never planned to be a superstar, just to be able to sing a song and not feel bad about by terrible voice :D In a month I've learned: how to sing without tension, how to keep open, how to sing much higher than I ever thought I could, how to breathe and much more. Thank you, Madeline!

I recently lost my speaking and singing voice due to virus, then when I felt better I made the error of over singing at a religious choir event. A new germ got me n I totally lost my speaking n singing voice. I’m now speaking 90% fine and my lower register is present but nothing above a G (I’m a soprano). Do you have any videos specific to safely recovering my singing voice?

Hello Madeleine, I have been watching your videos for some time now and I find them really helpful. However, I have an issue with my voice on which I can't find any helpful advice on (at least to my knowledge). For the past few weeks it feel like whenever I try to sing a slightly higher note that I would usually be able to hit, my voice gets stuck in my throat and I can't sing with my full voice. my tone doesn't sound clear, it sounds really throaty and I don't know what to do. I drink plenty of water, warm up my voice properly and tried my best to relax my throat with various exercises yet I still can't get rid of the lump in my throat that feels like it's blocking my voice. I also feel like i have to constantly clear my throat but I try not to do that because I know it's not good for your voice. I haven't found any videos that could help me so far and I'm starting to get really frustrated. I'd be really happy if you could give me some advice on what to do

So for me my problem is when I belt it’s pushing on the chords and it’s like breathy and straining and no matter how I like tighten my abs or breathe before it I don’t know how to fix it. Please help?
@zahmerejohnson46565 жыл бұрын
Hannah Liz You don't tighten your abs , you kinda do the opposite. You breathe low and keep that expansion even though you're singing. Belting is high chest voice. Make sure your low chest voice is free and strong . if it's not, you can't belt.
@belleblacknight70985 жыл бұрын
Hi! Actually I've been wondering , since my voice is quite limited and it is really a high-pitched so I am trying to acquire a powerful voice but it is just so hard for me to sing it powerfully and my voice will crack , also sometimes , when I tried out a vibrato , is it okay for me to make a fake vibrato? Because it sounds weird actually. By the way , I love your video!!! You gave out so many tips and advices in your videos. Thank you so much!
@zahmerejohnson46565 жыл бұрын
ERIKA BLACKNIGHT making your vibrato will use muscles you shouldn't be using . you also can't force power . work on your chest voice (low) . learn to create full relaxed clear sounds . When you can do that, you're one step closer

Piestick don't try to go up to where you were. don't rush your voice to where it used to be. Exercise your voice where it feels comfortable.

i hope u read this coz i need help. i can sing in my normal, high, and falsetto. i can also connect my normal and high but if i sing my hight to falsetto, the "connection" will crack up and/or having an incidental break in my voice. what can i do?
@zahmerejohnson46565 жыл бұрын
thiss_Jeyms The break means there's an imbalance in your voice . So try to lighten your chest voice alittle to ease into falsetto
