I can’t tell you how just scooting my butt to the back of the chair has helped me. Thank you. I didn’t really even realize I sit on the edge of the chair with no support on my back on thighs. It hasn’t helped resolve all the issues I have with sciatica of course, but just another piece of the puzzle. And your clamshell and hip-strengthening exercises have helped. I’ve also stopped all the static stretching the PT wanted me to do. All it does it make it worse, not better.

For me opposite cause lots pain in hamstrings

I'm so glad it's helping you! You have to always keep your hips and lumbar spine supported when sitting.
@CoachSofia5 жыл бұрын
If sitting properly causes you a lot of pain, the solution is not to revert back to bad posture, but to investigate why. The majority of people who sit in a flawed position for long years will adapt. Their muscles and joints will adapt to that position so sitting right will feel uncomfortable and can trigger pain. So I would assess your static posture, and look for areas that need to be re-aligned. Look specifically if you have an exaggerated pelvic tilt (forward or back), if your back rounds and if you have rounded shoulders along with a forward head posture...especially when you sit.

@@CoachSofia 3 years now i am investigating still no luck exercises stretching physiotherapy changed all chairs tried all medicines can't live without pain life sucks
@CoachSofia5 жыл бұрын
Hang in there. I know exactly how much it sucks. I lived with the pain from 2011 until 2015 non stop pain and also tried everything under the sun. I even got fired because I couldn't sit anymore and used up all my sick days..they got tired of me always sick and not able to sit or stand. It sucks but don't lose hope. I know it feels like nothing is helping, but just keep taking care of your body and never ever rely on external people, gadgets or tools to fix you. Always look at understanding exactly what is causing the pain If you can't pinpoint what's causing the pain, then you really didn't investigate that much. your physio's job is to explain that to you. if they can't, go somewhere else.

Any tips for driving? That is my trigger. I think I’ve tried every cushion and every seat position. I am ready to try a Back Joy product that was recommended to me, but it’s just another $40 hopeful purchase (and likely a waste of money as the others have been). 😞

Hey! send me the product link and I'll tell you if it's gonna be worth it.

I’m so scared to sit now because my buttocks hurt before and then the pain travels to my leg. I have no problem sitting in a toilet though which I find so weird!!! I think because it has a huge hole. I tried buying a donut cushion to sit but it didn’t work. :/

Today i just bent to take my clothes and when i stood up i got a jerk in low back and got so much low back pain that i called the physiotherapist immediately...what should i do now
@CoachSofia5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that! Please watch this video teaching you how to bend over without hurting your lower back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYasknSqadd-h80 make sure you're moving properly so you don't make it worse. Physio can help but you need to learn how to avoid this from happening again by learning how to move properly and also bracing your deep core every time you're bending or twisting. Look into my deep core mini-training if you need more help with this: coachsofiafitness.com/deep-core-training-2/

I have a very flat butt. Not much fat on hips and no fat on buttocks but large stomach. What can help my BK?
@CoachSofia5 жыл бұрын
Then work on building your glutes! Please check my last video for some glute strengthening exercises and search my channel for more. Incorporate walking into your lifestyle to help reduce your belly fat...And you don't need to add fat to your buttock...you need to build strong stabilizing glute muscles (which are just dormant right now...we all have them). So work on that!
