As a medical student I’m lacking the financial resources to buy and test a ton of boards - and unfortunately I haven’t found a shop yet that’s willing to walk that path with me :D maybe when I’m growing. I really like how in depth you do your reviews and board tests - and honestly a perspective from different levels of ability make reviews credible on the first place. @ChrisGenau3 жыл бұрын
Since this is so much preference and what you like - I’d really go to a nice skate shop, tell them you’re looking for a surfskate - and let them put me on a few different ones to get a feeling - I’d then take the one I felt best on :)

Nice video, thanks! Good luck in Namibia. One more thing, i think you got the turn labels the wrong way around? Frontside turn is normally off the toes, and backside turn is off the heels… at least, thats how i understand it. What do you think Chris?
@ChrisGenau3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the compliment :)) Well in surfing and skating a turn is called frontside when you’re facing the wave/obstacle/ramp/pipe and backside when the wave/pipe is on your backside. So even though your turning towards your backside it is called a frontside turn and vice versa - it’s the same in skating with ramp tricks. Like a frontside 180 Ollie is turning towards your backside but the ramp is on your frontside :) I hope that explanation is as at least kind of understandable :DD Let me know when somethings still unclear ^^

Cool video. A pump track just opened up in our neighborhood. I really like to try it. Do you have any recommendations for a type of board shape which is good for some progress? I can do a little bit of skating but got no experience with ramps etc. Thanks
@ChrisGenau3 жыл бұрын
Wow thats so cool, you should def hit that - a pump track will teach you many things 🙌🏼 as for board shape recommendations - it really doesn't matter too much, just make sure you're not taking a too small board with too small of a wheel base, as that makes the board very responsive and a little hard to control for a beginner
