I have no imagination, if I try to sit down and draw a face out of my head, they all look the same. I have to have a picture to look at because nobody I know is going to sit down and let me draw them. Also, I can't seem to get hats right, if I draw the hat first I can't fit the head in and vice versa. It's some kind of mental block or something. But I'm enjoying your videos. Maybe I can learn something. Thanks

There is a psychology about drawing people that I avoid/do not indulge in. So all my art lack portraits or extremely limited made

There's no psychology to drawing people whatsoever. Andrew Loomis said to forget about that entirely.

@@dpelpal There is a psychology that exist. Hence I do not draw faces unless I will be getting a big payment/check. Not even in figure drawing sessions are races drawn !!!!!

this video should be called How I sketch portraits fast hows anyone going to learn just by watching you do your sketches 😮 a waste of time video 😡
@robertthompson63022 ай бұрын
People who draw can learn a lot by watching… if you talk about it, you are not getting to the work of the flow of the techniques… I totally disagree with you. Good luck to you though.
@ducksoff72362 ай бұрын
I learned to draw by mimicking videos just like this one. How else are you suppose to learn? You learn by drawing from reference. You draw what you see. If you you can't understand that its no wonder why you can't draw. Spend more time observing and less time crying.
@robinfereday65622 ай бұрын
@@ducksoff7236 you learn by being taught not by youtube videos of some pencil sketches that look like children's done when they were 12+
@ducksoff72362 ай бұрын
@@robinfereday6562 Oh is that what they look like? Is that why you are so pissed off that you can't replicate them? Guess what? People go out in the world to sketch and sketch things they have never sketched before. See a bridge. Want to sketch it. Sit down and observe and F**king draw it. Never having drawn a bridge before. Never getting a lesson on bridge drawing. What a hilariously ridiculous way to think. Every face is different. Every time you draw a different person its a new head. Any lesson you get is a generalization. Then you have to go and draw a real person. That generalization doesn't work and you have observe the subject and draw the things that are specific to that individual. Go ahead and keep whining though.

@@robinfereday6562 Oh? Is that what they look like? Is that why you are crying like a 2 year old because you can't draw them yourself? You draw by observing. People go out in the world and they sketch. They sketch things they never seen before. You see a boat on the water you sketch it. No lesson. You see a bird in a tree. You sketch it. No lesson. What are you going to do? Every time you want to sketch a different person get lesson on drawing that individual? You are hilarious.
