I’m absolutely amazed by the flawlessness of your switches during the first 30 seconds ! Damn, it feels so smooth, I watched it like 5 times in a row

Yum, Im rather pleased with it too. But I feel like I gotta re-shot something like that on my slalom skis and carve harder.

@@StompItTutorialsthank you for all the great tutorials..plz help me for learning this switch skill..I have a hard time not able to find my COM balance after switching…how to distribute the uphill/downhill skis pressure?..is it similar to normal skiing with most of pressure apply to the downhill skis(the side that I head/hip rotate to)? I’d really appreciate if u would help coz there’s no other instructional videos have explained🙏🙏🙏🤟

I watched a couple other switch instructional vids and thought "ok I could try that" and in the first 30 seconds of this vid is was like "I could never" 😂

Hey, I'm a proficient backwards skier (parallel turns at high speed) but only when looking over alternative shoulders. But I really struggle to just look over just 1 shoulder as I can't scissor my skies how I would normally for both turns. Any tips on how to get my body in the right position for turning when only looking over 1 shoulder?

Great video, I just have a quick question: I recently got the atomic bent 100 skis however I mounted them at factory recommendation, will I still be able to ski switch and do most park tricks decently?

I get that this is better with twin tip skis, but can I also learn on normal skis?
@JonassTass Жыл бұрын
You prolly can on a fresh groomed slope but once there are even a lil bit of unevenness it might become dangerous
@StompItTutorials Жыл бұрын
Yes normal piste skis are fine. They got a tiny tail too which is enough for piste skiing switch.

Really cool video, im curious though what is the proper tehnique to actually jump into switch carving from standard carving. Is it a normal ollie 180? Looks kinda scary to just randomly jump at those speeds yet you do it effortlessly.
@JonassTass Жыл бұрын
You gotta be super comfortable at skiing switch and also 180s, and it all comes with time and gradually increasing the speeds
@StompItTutorials Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Start popping or ollie 180 at super slow speed and do it from skidded turns to switch skidded turns.

Quick question here: I dont have twin tipped skies, but the back also isn't flat it's kinda half curved (head core 105s). I can ski backwards at medium speed but I do lean forward a lot because I'm scared of catching an edge. My question is, is it necessary to have twin tips? should I be as worried about leaning forward or should I be fine?
@StompItTutorials19 күн бұрын
Your tiny tail is enough on piste. In powder it will be a problem.

Can you please make a video with explanations how to do switch 180 on relatively flat slope? I always catch tails when try to do it. At the same time just 180 (front) are no problem on slope with any steepness.
