What knot/methods do you prefer to use on the static-side anchor? I don't recognize the knot at 3:03. I just recently got into slacklining, and I used a few carabiners and a spool of nylon webbing that I already had from rock climbing/canyoneering. Needless to say it took a lot of work to get it tight enough to walk (I'm 210lb), but it worked! The problem was trying to untie the webbing water knot I had tied around one of the trees, afterwards, lol. I bought a polyester line that should come in soon, but what would you recommend for the static-side anchor setup? I'm planning to tie a water knot with a carabiner in the middle of it, but wonder if there are knots that can be untied easily whiteout that extra carabiner. Please and Thank you!

Hey Alex great question! I tie a frost knot at the end of my webbing and just keep it there :) Unfortunately, there aren’t many knots you can tie with webbing that are very easy to undo but a frost knot is bomber 🙌🏼 I’ve even longlined with semi-high tension on a frost knot and have never had issues. Hope this helps!

Shouldn't the line "bite" itself (to hold the tension) more than once? Otherwise if it slides out you can lose all the tension in a fraction of second and it's not safe. At least that's how we used to rig it. Safety matters

Hey Alonso, I’ve been looking at BC Blue for my first long line and was thinking about getting a 100m line. My question is , would this also be okay for highline? I’m just worried about stretch. Some say nylon for highline and poly for park longline. But I’ve also heard that bc blue would be okay for highline if it’s over a certain distance? Trying to find something versatile for both so I don’t have to buy twice. Or should I have two different kinds.

If you’re looking for versatility I’d get Feather Pro 😊 That was my first longline and highline setup. It feels amazing under foot and is the greatest highline webbing for versatility in my opinion

I’m also getting a weblock and could use your input if possible. I’ve been looking into the alpine weblock 6.1 and seahorse. Do you recommend any of these two or have an alternate that you would prefer? I’ve noticed a lot of people are using older welblocks that are not being produced anymore.

@@mnvjim7900 Yeah either of those are great options! 😊 Most weblocks are good to be honest so long as they tension nicely and are strong. The reason many people use old weblocks is simply because they have them and don’t need to replace them at all.

One more question lol.. I can’t decide on the length of webbing to get. I’ve heard a lot off people say get a 100m but I’m worried about lugging it around for a park line but I like the idea of not buying two when I get into highline. What’s a common size you see for highline rigging? I’ve also heard that 50m is good because you can connect them together.

Any webbing works for a small primitive line. I like soft polyester webbings like BC Blue, RAED Aurora, Slacktivity Marathon, etc... :)
