Those electrical shocks are only to stun them so they are unconscious and don‘t feel pain. They are killed later by a throat cut. Sadly these machines are often not well mentained or lack the reliability tu stun the animal effectively. About 5% of pigs will not be stunned effectively and still feel the pain of the slaughter…

@@suzie3883 id assume its electrocution, the clamps on I either side of the neck create a direct line cutting of the electrical impulse to the brain knocking them out, I'm not sure if there's one for a direct pass through the heart (cant see) . i think there is, there's a long armature that can be seen at its rib cage.
