Good stuff, Beardi-locks! When they are pot pound, like the 7footer was, I tend to tease some of the roots out before I bury them again. The tree/shrub seem to push new roots better. But if you’re doing a full repot in spring, I doubt it makes a difference. Good stuff, brother. Can’t wait to see the trunk chop on the big fella!

Thanks! I typically tease the roots too, but with this heat I didn't want to add any stress.
