Thanks for being honest mentioning the fact that you didn't pick up much smoke flavour because there was little to no smoke ring on it. Look juicy af though!! Great vid!

Awesome good to see you using a pellet smoker mate! Try running it around 200f for an overnight cook. It won't go past the stall at that low temperature. Nothing beats the convince off a pellet smoker....

Not bad for a croweater, regards a sandgroper. I haven't tried BBQR'S Delight just yet. I've managed to track down 2 bags of Lumberjack 100% Mesquite from Victoria and I'm waiting on 2 boxes of Jealous Devil pellets from Mitre 10. A lot of the pro's are using eith Jealous Devil pellets or Jealous Devil Charcoal.

How does a pellet brikset taste compared to a stick burner brisket?
@ewenmcdougall78669 ай бұрын
Did you rest it in an oven? @ what temp to keep warm
@kaneholtham1554 Жыл бұрын
hey mate looks good! i see the smoke ring looks quite small is that because of the pellet smoker? cheers
@nixon89508 ай бұрын
Hey Aaron do you prefer the brisket taste from a Webber or a pellet smoker?
@LownSlowBasics8 ай бұрын
It really depends, if you like a very subtle smoke, a pellet, more smoke then a Weber. I’ve enjoyed briskets from both.
@DanAllen-s2i Жыл бұрын
What model smoker you using? What are your thoughts on vertical pellet smokers?
@LownSlowBasics Жыл бұрын
Oklahoma joes rider DLX. I’ve heard good things, lots of space in them for ribs etc. plus you can hang stuff too.
@mattvangampler7508 Жыл бұрын
Looks like a great brisket! I have a question about holding. How long do you rest before wrapping and putting in the holding oven?
@LownSlowBasics Жыл бұрын
Usually a good 10 minutes letting it steam off to stop the cooking process. Depends, if it’s cold out it might only be 5 minutes.
@mattvangampler7508 Жыл бұрын
@LownSlowBasics got you. You've got your method down, my friend! I enjoy your videos a lot. I'll be in your level one day! Do you have a culinary background?

I haven’t used the judge yet sorry.

Hey mate, in terms of easy cooking. Would a drum smoker with an automatic fan compare to a pellet smoker? I really enjoyed using my weber to do a brisket with help from you. But I've got less time on my hands nowadays to cook.

How did you rest the brisket? Can this be done in a normal oven?
@LownSlowBasics Жыл бұрын
In a cambro. Can rest in an esky or oven at 60-70c

@jessf6649 Жыл бұрын
@@LownSlowBasics yeah fair enough mate! I've been looking at them myself lately, finding less time to do smoking these days and I'm tossing up between a pellet smoker and a masterbuilt gravity

U should have had a temp probe while it was cooking so it didn’t go over temp.
